Introduction

Our organization was formed by aware youths from the then Topgachhi, Lakhanpur, and Dharampur VDCs, with the goal of liberating people from high-interest loans imposed by moneylenders and integrating small scattered funds in the community to develop a saving habit. Through various small gatherings and meetings, a preparatory committee was eventually formed on the second Friday of Baisakh 2055 (April 24, 1998) in the premises of Shree Shahid Dharmabhakta School under the coordination of Sharan Kumar Parajuli, collecting a total of NPR 13,500 from 27 individuals who each purchased five shares. The organization was officially registered on June 30, 1998, at the District Cooperative Office in Bhadrapur under the registration number D.No. 3/1/7/121/054/55. The office formally began operations on July 17, 1998, from a room provided by then Vice Chairman Lain Bahadur Poudel. Today, the main office operates from a four-story concrete building on our own land of 3 kattha 11 dhur in the central part of Kekha Bazaar. Additionally, we are proud to operate a joint multipurpose agricultural farm on 1 kattha of land in Urlabari Municipality Ward No. 5 and 2 bigha 9 dhur of land in Kamal Rural Municipality Ward No. 1.
